The harvester does an amazing job of getting almost every grape on our vines... but there are always a few that are left at the end, usually near the posts, that the harvester has managed to grab.
Having had our absolutely fill of grapes (there really is only so many grabs that one can eat !!) we decided to have a go at making our own wine (which I suspect with be more realistically a sparkling grape juice at best)
We sterilised our 20 L cheese making bucket and painstakingly picked the best grapes of each bunch that the kids had raced around the vineyard collecting....
Then in the bathrooom we went for the best part,..... the squishing !!

So now we leave it, and hope that it starts the fermentation process.
