It's still winter really

OK ,so after our recent excitement over the emergence of spring here, today winter reminds us that he is still very much around... it was grey and COLD... very COLD !!

So we were inside for much of the day... but Cabin fever got the best of me... and this afternoon we just had to get out, so we rugged up in the most ridiculous (but necessary) amount of clothes... and out we went....

Kurt spend over an hour planning where and how to plant out our garlic cloves ... he read up the technicle ins and outs of spacings measurements and used his tapemeasure and string with sticks to mark out exactly where they were to be planted....
I was nothing short of being extemely impressed of his work..... especially as this was all conducted by a little boy who state catagorically on a dialy basis that he "HATES maths" and will "never be good at it".....

Unfortunately, I have decided to change the garlic's planting out location to a different garden bed, much to his ,understandable, fustration, but he is happy now he can do it, and will be able to do it again in it's new destination... Now we just need to fill the new bed with soil .....sigh... a bit more digging to do yet...

We decided to have a bit of a break from the garden plans and wandered down to the back where the others were checking to see how our goats were.
The usual fun and discover ensued in this fanatstic wetlands wonderland we have.....

The bridge continues to be a great place to play.....

Although it seems that our goats have layed claim to the rights of it's use...... this is a stand off between our Anton and Lily, neither of which were prepared to back off.....

Lily won.....

I agree that you can have fun no matter what the weather.......
............. but I still hope it's sunny (and maybe a little warmer) tomorrow.
