Duathlon

Sunday, a big day for our Kurt. His first ever duathlon. We sent in his entry form a few weeks ago and he's been counting down the days since then.
Very excited the night before, and up very early (far too early in my opinion) that morning getting his gear together.
And the sun came out for the day too , which was a great relief because it was cold and wet the day before.
Hundreds of children turned up, which made for a really buzzing atmosphere....
he racked his bike , a short wait and then... he was off

I somehow missed his start, I couldn't find him amongst all the other kids, but I got his transition and his the all important finish......

and we all enjoyed chilling out in the warm (but fresh) spring sunshine, while we waited for the prizegiving....

....a great day for our young 'athlete' and us alike.
