Collecting Elderflowers

My big kids spotted a large Elderflower tree next to the river as we travelled home from town a few days ago, and they decided that they would like to make elderflower cordial to give away for presents this christmas.
So we drove further down the river to find more trees away from the main road, and a happy couple of hours was spent collecting elderflowers , exploring , discovering insects and running along the river bank......


I love spontaneity, and kids have heaps of it to offer, I must take them up on it more often...
