Cupcakes in the park

We had two hours to fill in ,in town, yesterday. What to do??
Town isn't exactly our favourite place to hang out (at least not mine)

Turns out ,it was 'SPCA cupcake day' so cupcakes were definately the order of the day for lunch... then we decided to go exploring to find the ultimate place to indulge in these ,beautifully decorated ,excessively-covered-in-icing-and-food-colouring-and-flavouring, not-so-little beauties......
and we found this really cool park at the bottom of Wither hills.... Harling park, technically still in town, but you wouldn't know it , just our kind of (town) park........

So cupcakes in the park it was.....

This was Arwen's first real cupcake...

She learnt quickly that the icing was the best part....

and wasn't too sure about sharing Becca's when she offered it to her minus the icing !!!....

Perfect way to celebrate a spring day in the park......

Some storm clouds threatened for a while, which made for dramatic scenes.....

But they burnt off, and beautiful glimpses of spring returned, perfect for
a lot of running up hills and dancing on the hill tops , to burn off that sugar !!!

Check out this really really cool tree....

Running and more running...... (really who needs school work, when you could be doing this, I ask !!!)

and a bit of quite contemplation too......

Anton dicussing the technical ins and outs of a spacecraft flight mechanisms (important stuff when your five!!!)

Becca telling me she LOVES nature, she just wishes the birds were friendlier, and she could have one as an uncaged pet

Ahhhh the spring time !!!!

  1. I happen to agree with the little Miss, the icing really is the best part of cupcakes. Always nicer to look at than to eat, I reckon.
And, I'm guessing, you didn't tell Becca you CAN get friendly birds that can be uncaged pets? Hah.
    Loving this Spring-y weather.
